Program Overview

JUCTe operates a program called MJHEP (Malaysia Japan Higher Education Program). MJHEP is a successor business of the Yen loan fund program HELP 1-3 (Higher Education Loan Fund Project), and is a study abroad program to Japan managed by the budget of the Malaysian government.

In the MJHEP, students who are ranked at the upper 5% of the SPM (unified examination in Malaysia) who wishes to study in Japan are chosen. They receive 3 years of education in Malaysia, where 1 year is spent for Japanese language, and 2 years for undergraduate education of science and engineering. In their 3rd year, students take the entrance examinations of Japanese universities and transfer in the following April as a Junior.
